‘What Lies Beyond' Being here in these woods helps me appreciate nature but I also come here with the Annexe group where we play games, do some crafts and participate in archery and just soak up nature.
‘Pygoscelis Antarcticus Particka’ One of my first trips as a volunteer minibus driver was with the Knit and Natter group, for Operation Penguin: the group had crocheted a whole waddle of penguins to be auctioned on board the Silver Cloud to raise funds for wildlife conservation work in Antarctica. The fantastic knitting bunch delivered the crocheted birds at Leith wharf for the start of the pole-to-pole expedition.
‘Dragons at the Annexe' A couple of railing tops next to the Annexe, were transformed into Dragons by altering the perspective. I like the corrosion of the dragons’ skin, and the way the old building behind appears to lean over.
